Hugo has began his carreer as a stage manager in one of the most important opera house of Latin America, the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.
After years there, working in many kind of productions (such as operas, concerts, ballets, live TV shows, music awards, and others), he decided to open his own technical production company: D5 Produções. With the staging experience he acquired over the years, he acts in several fronts of the entertainment and Live Marketing Events as a Technical Direction, as well as a Production and Stage Management.
