Vidrados no Rio – Reciclagem de Vidro em Obras de Arte

The project "Vidrados no Rio", transforms the remains of glass bottles, cups and windows into beautiful art and decorative pieces. Aimed to impact on the young population of the communities, seniors and people with special needs, the project teaches the manipulation of glass creating decorative objects for sale. Part of the revenue from sales was reverted to the artisans and part to the project to purchase raw materials. GUARDIAN DO BRASIL using the Federal Incentive Tax Law mechanism sponsored the workshop.

We had the pleasure of working with FSR and particularly Fernanda and Marcia in the design and build out of our Rio 2016 Hospitality Suite at the Sheraton in Leblon. From the initial designs to the final product, their attention to detail, creativity and really ‘listening’ to the scope and budget made this project seamless. The feedback from our client was “this is the best space we’ve created in the last 4 Olympics” and all of the credit goes to the FSR delivery team. It would be our privilege to partner again in Rio or elsewhere!!

I worked with Fernanda for a couple of months negotiating costs, usage, licensing and talent with the local Favela Morro da Mineira.
